07/07/2009 - A Shining New Business Acquisition

SACD Durban welcomes our newest account Richards Bay Minerals (Trading Name) known as TISAND (PTY) LTD to the fold. RBM export Titanium Slag, Zircon Sand and Rutile Sand in 1 and 2 ton bags and in palletized cargo. RBM currently exports approximately 60 000 tons p.a. and the company is forecasting growth in exports to around 100 000 tons in partnership with SACD in the 2009 / 2010 financial year.

SACD will take over the handling of the packing and logistics of Zircon Sand in both the 1 and 2 ton bags to China, and will in due course have full control of the documentation process and freight negotiations. This will result in enormous benefit to RBM, with SACD adding real value to the management of this heavy industry supply chain.

The Manager responsible for this new account is Kevin Naidoo, with Mervyn Veersamy taking on the reins as supervisor. Pamela Robinson will play a key role in establishing the links and systems to deal effectively with the demanding account. This winning team of dedicated experts head up the entire operation, ensuring the successful transition, freight and seamless supply chain management of large mineral consignments across the globe.
