09/10/09 - In a Class of Their Own - Vintage SACD excellence

SACD Durban, with great aplomb and pride, unpacked a fleet of 19 unique and valuable Silver Ghost Rolls Royce cars in time for the much anticipated “2009 Rolls Royce Wholly Ghost Tour of South Africa”.

SACD Durban ensured the safe handling and unpacking of these extremely valuable and nostalgic vehicles of yesteryear, on the strength of previous years of experience with the Bentley SA Tours.

In conjunction with our sister company Safcor, we provided the impeccable service so vital for such a delicate task.

The Silver Ghost was built by Rolls Royce from 1903 - 1927 in England, with cars ranging from 1909 to 1926 on this particular tour. Owners from Australia, Canada, England, Monaco, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, USA, and South Africa gathered to parade their prized beauties to admiring enthusiasts.

The route starts in Ballito Bay north of Durban, proceeding north to Mkuze, then into Swaziland and back to Dundee, through Champagne Castle, Clarins, Bloemfontein, Gariep Dam, Graaff Reinet, Cradock, Shamwai, Port Elizabeth, Knysna, Oudtshoorn, Arniston, Franschhoek and finally to Cape Town.
