27/07/2009 - SACD ERECTS a Brand New Facility

After comprehensive & meticulous planning, SACD Cape Town’s brand new 20 000 square meter food and wine premier grade facility, is well underway, with construction now in full swing, and is on target to being completed by February 2010.

With a specific need having arisen in the marketplace for a world class food grade facility close to the Port, we have acquired 9 hectares of prime real estate in Paarden Eiland, conveniently a mere 800 meters from our current facility.

SACD are investing in this facility in order to provide a better supply chain management solution to customers in the Wine, Beverage and Dry Food industries.

All operational activities will be driven by a backbone of integrated IT systems, with utilization of handheld, wireless devices to ensure improved productivity, real-time information updates, availability and stock accuracy.

An added benefit, is the ability to plug our systems into those of our customers via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), allowing for bi-directional data updates.
