SACD Cape Town, a proudly BIDVest Company, has celebrated its first year anniversary this January 2011, since opening its 20 000m² customs licensed, food, wine and beverage warehouse. The facility which is located just 800m from the Cape Town port has been designed to meet all specifications and requirements for the afore mentioned industries.

From initial planning 5 years ago, to the first cargo receipts a year ago, SACD Cape Town’s world class food grade warehouse has come a long way in a short space of time.

Through its construction and first year of operation importers and exporters have experienced both the benefits and cost savings associated with using SACD. Prior to the opening of this facility SACD developed a state of the art warehouse management system which caters specifically to the needs of the wine, food and beverage industries. The system allows for clients to monitor their stock movements in "real time" electronically, from arrival at facility through to exporting.

In the liqour sector SACD has been handling Spier Wines for the past 4 years, and since moving into the new facility SACD has added The Company of Wine People, Intra International Trading and Pernot Ricard, and are in final stages of securing more wine exporters. SACD provides consolidating/storage, packing for export and ensuring export stack dates are met. SACD offers further supplementary services such as reworks for wines.
