Sasol Polymers

SACD Freight won a 3 year contract to supply a warehousing management service to Sasol Polymers in Secunda, South Africa - and then exceeded Sasol's expectations.

Sasol Polymers senior management set detailed operating metrics, which SACD Freight had to achieve. In the two years that we have had the contract, we consistently achieved and exceeded these metrics and, in May 2004, we exported a record tonnage.

SACD Freight is currently working with Sasol Polymers on a joint initiative to identify and implement new integrated cargo systems procedures to distribute their products, locally and internationally. This project is part of an initiative to further position Sasol Polymers as a world-class player.

In addition, SACD Freight currently manages Sasol Polymer's Secunda warehouse and a range of services including: local delivery loading, on-site container packing, loading and break bulk cargo movements to Durban as well as container storage and containerisation in Durban.

The significant successes realised thus far has prompted Sasol and SACD Freight to engage in exploratory discussions to identify further joint initiatives.
