JOHANNESBURG

Johannesburg is South Africa’s economic hub, with a constant flow of freight entering and leaving the city. The Bidvest SACD facility is located adjacent to the Transnet City Deep inland port terminal and occupies 130,000 square metres of land with easy road and rail access.

It is customs licenced and the SOS warehousing facility is complemented by a comprehensive range of handling equipment and an extensitive rail siding.

Apart from the regular Bidvest SACD service offerings, our Johannesburg facility specialises in the handling of minerals and metals and has the capability of either a trailer borne or ground based container pack/unpack operation.

DURBAN

The Durban facility occupies a 130,000m², adjacent to the TPT operated Deep Sea Container Terminal. This terminal is the gateway to Southern Africa’s containerised freight movements and is the second-busiest container terminal in Africa.
Apart from the regular Bidvest SACD service offerings, our Durban facility specialises in the handling of out-of-gauge cargo and the ability to handle extensive government inspections.

  • Full capacity 3,000 TEUs (stacking 5 high) including 60 reefer plug points

CAPE TOWN

Bidvest SACD in Cape Town is located just 500m from TPT’s deep sea container terminal and is situated on 76 000m² of land serving primarily perishable goods in the food and wine industries of the Western and Northern Cape.

Apart from the regular Bidvest SACD service offerings, our Cape Town facility is a specialist food and wine grade operation with high rise racking.

Cape Town are accredited agents for the supply of reefer spares on behalf of international manufacturers such as Carrier, Thermoking and Daikin.

PORT ELIZABETH 

The 3-hectare facility in Port Elizabeth is situated in the heart of the Eastern Cape's transport and economic centre, just minutes from both the Coega Deep Sea Terminal and the Port Elizabeth Container Terminal.

Apart from the regular Bidvest SACD service offerings, our Port Elizabeth facility specialises in servicing the motor industry.

The technical infrastructure provides easy access to electronic information through Host to Host communication (EDI), e-mail, SMS, fax, FTP and via the web. The information is available 24/7, positioning our customers to manage their business efficiently and effectively.
